My name is Barbara Moor, and I’m an Image Consultant, Fashion Buyer, Personal Shopper, Personal Stylist, and Corporate Style Advisor.

A Passion Born in Fashion

I was born in 1982 in Rome, into a family where fashion was more than just a profession—it was a calling.
My grandfather owned a shirt-making factory, while my grandmother and mother ran two exclusive boutiques, frequented by countesses and prominent professionals. Their ability to transform a simple scarf or reinvent an outfit with a unique touch made them well known across the capital.

Growing up in this environment, my passion for fashion became deeply rooted.
As a child, I spent my days in the store, observing every detail and “learning by watching” the secrets of the trade. By the age of 8, I was already wearing an exclusive shearling coat from Saint Moritz—its sleeves custom-made by a knitwear artisan.

A Path Between Fashion and Education

My talent for fashion was clear from the start: while other children studied math, I was sketching outfits.
This passion led me to pursue a career in fashion, which I complemented with studies in social care—an experience that enriched my interpersonal and relational skills.
Empathy is now a cornerstone of both my work and my life.

I began my professional journey in 2000, exploring various facets of the fashion world and training in specialized courses in Personal Styling, Personal Shopping, and Image Consulting.

Later, I chose to gain hands-on experience in a prestigious luxury boutique in Rome. That period taught me the ins and outs of high-end retail, offering both personal and professional growth. But soon, I realized it wasn’t enough.

The Evolution of Image Consulting

Fashion isn’t just about choosing a dress in a fitting room.
I wanted more: to enter my clients’ wardrobes, to understand their image from the inside out, to teach them how to enhance what they already own and to build a wardrobe that reflected their personality and lifestyle.

A true Personal Stylist must master every element of an outfit—accessories, jewelry, handbags, shoes—and know how to balance and highlight each piece to create a distinctive, cohesive look.

The Birth of “Barbara Moor – Image Consulting”

Twelve years ago, I made a bold decision: I left my job and founded my own brand—Barbara Moor – Image Consulting.

I was among the first in Italy to anticipate the rise of Personal Styling.
Back then, the concept of an Image Consultant was still unfamiliar in our country. But I’ve always believed that shopping alone isn’t enough.
The goal is not just to buy—it’s to build a personal image that’s authentic and empowering.
